The Bag Raider’s self titled debut album is full of great guest appearances, like Dan Black and Julian Hamilton from the Presets. The album was released last October but is worth your money should you be looking for some straight up dance anthems for the summer.

The Eastern Conference Champions employ a sound somewhere between Cold War Kids and Radiohead and have songs that are just as gritty and poppy. Their ‘Santa Fe’ EP was one of my best albums of the year 2010, and their new album ‘Speak-Ah’ does not disappoint.

This is a once in a lifetime kind of show. The Psychedelic Furs playing in Syracuse? I never thought that when I picked up the vinyl for ‘Forever Now’ back in high school that one day I’d be able to see them live without having to drive 6 hours both ways. $25 bucks for a night of 80′s hits? Sounds like a bargain to me.
