Wesley The Robot is in need of an Electrician, Where do my posts keep disappearing to?

Okay, this is starting to frustrate me. I previously wrote a little blurb about still standing and typing despite a huge work load and now that post has disappeared. If you’re reading this blogspot won’t you please contact me and tell me what’s flagging my posts for deletion? I put a lot of time and effort along with original content like my Wesley the Robot strips in my posts.

Either way, Beatrice is angry about there being no power… is Wesley to blame? Or something far more sinister….?!

Here’s some music!

Alaska in Winter – Berlin

Chromeo – Rage

Prince – Fury

The Clash – Guns of Brixton

All Teeth and Knuckles – F*ck Your Jacket

Sarah Palin, Joe Biden, Gwen Ifil, and a cartoon about the VP Debate

This is a little belated, but, I want to share it anyway. The debate between Joe Biden and Sarah Palin (if you can call it that) was just another demonstration of how the choice between Republicans and Democrats is now the choice between rational respectful people and ranting witch hunters who despise facts and apparently the middle class. Not to mention the troopergate scandal which is now seeing the light of day. What a playground for political commentary…More of these political cartoons will pop up as time goes on.

What better than a few tracks from a band that features the name of the Governor’s home state in them… Alaska in Winter.

Alaska in Winter – your red dress (wedding song at cemetery)

Alaska in Winter – A Love Note From Your Piano [Bonus Track]

AZLTRON’s Dance Antidote Mix

On the cusp of summer and my full-time employment, I impart to you, my faithful readers this creation of mine, the dance mix antidote. But wait? Don’t I largely support dance music? Yes, but dance music is largely loud energetic and entices you to move. Which are all great things that I will continue to revel in at almost every opportunity, but you know what? Sometimes I get tired. I bet you do too. So why not bask in a collection of healing and soothing songs that will re-energize you for another synth/punk/indie/electro dance party? After all, we are not robots, no matter how much some of us might like to be.

Sebastien Tellier – La Ritournelle (Jim Noir Mix)

Stereolab – Cosmic Country Noir

Air – Left Bank

Graig Markel – Black Mesa

Alaska in Winter

I realize that now it is spring and the last thing many of us want to do is revisit winter, but take heart, there are good things about winter, well, the word “winter” at least. Like Brandon Bethancourt’s musical project Alaska in Winter. Mr Bethancourt and company have graciously sent me a mix of their new CD Dance Party in the Balkans, featuring the vocals of Beirut. It’s an eclectic trip.
