Get Lost in Labyrinth Ear

I just had a chance to listen to the electronic duo from London, Labyrinth Ear, and I have to say I like what I hear. Pulsing electro bass and subtle but driving beats accented beautifully by some female vocals buoy this track. I think this might be my favorite new band of 2012 so far.

Plastic Operator are “Making it Right” with new album “Before the Day is Out”
One of my favorite bands is set to return (Finally!) with a new full length album. The Canadian/Belgian electronic/pop/rock duo of Mathieu Gendreau and Pieter Van Dessel who formed Plastic Operator in London, UK have released a fierce new single rife with guitar riffs and danceable beats. That familiar enveloping warm electronic fuzz is all over this track and makes me want to hear more tracks. But alas, I have to wait until Feb 12.

What a year for music. So many great bands made a triumphant return this year and so many new bands burned their mark into the consciousness of listeners this year as well. Bear Cavalry rock Synths, Chants, and Horns.
Bear Cavalry are a band that I presume are from the UK. They employ a bouncy mix of traditional rock instruments with some synth and horns. Imagine all the energy of ska but much better musicianship.
