Orangewood Craft Intrigueing Instrumental Electronica

Filed under: Art (General) — AZLTRON @ 1:50 pm

Austin Texas electronic duo Orangewood create music that’s prime for documentaries or hammering out that last minute paper. Oh and the illustration above has nothing to do with them. It’s just a drawing of Spider-Man some dude and a parrot that I did last night.

Dear Lions Lie to Lying on New EP!

Filed under: Art (General) — AZLTRON @ 1:31 pm

Dear Lions, a group from New York use traditional rock instruments to create atmospheric pop songs that might strike a chord in fans of The Strokes, The Walkmen or The Stills. I’m sure there are more bands to compare them to (Like the Smiths?) but I’m gonna cut the comparisons and let you listen.

The Town Monster – Bela Lagosi Video (Vampire Video)

Filed under: Art (General) — AZLTRON @ 12:49 pm

Columbus Ohio’s electronic goth outfit The Town Monster have released another gloriously dark reference to Bela Lagosi. There’s some blood and sex in this video, so if that’s too much for you listen to the track below.

School of Seven Bells is down one member, but their sound is still as full as ever. The first track off the new album ,”Ghostory”, “The Night” features some great raw guitar reminiscent of Brandon Curtis’ old project The Secret Machines and Alejandra Deheza nails the vocals with the perfection we’ve come to expect from her. I for one can’t wait to hear the rest of the album. Is it Feb 28 yet?

New Works to be Shown at the Syracuse Metro Center!

Filed under: Art (General) — AZLTRON @ 8:17 am

Talking Wallpaper Featuring Miles George & Aaron Lee

I’ve been a bit erratic lately and that’s due to a lot of things. Like, putting together a show with no credit on my own time with a part time job and full time course work. It is exciting though! If you are in the downtown Syracuse area around December 15th come on down to the Metro Center (2 Clinton Street) at 5pm for some free food and to check out some art.

Also, there’s so much good new music. I’m going to start off with raging dance punk from the Arizona/California band Therapist.
